Join Us for The Philosopher's Yard Meetup: Exploring the "Power of Perspective"

Register on Eventbrite

In this session, we will delve into thought-provoking questions about The Power of Perspective: What is the difference between a perspective and a belief? How do you decide what is true? Do you see your life as a battle, a trial, an adventure or something else?

Join us in a neutral, welcoming space designed to encourage open dialogue and self-reflection. Whether you are a seasoned philosopher or simply someone who enjoys deep conversations, this is an opportunity to share your perspectives and listen to diverse viewpoints from fellow curious minds.

This meetup will feature a short talk from Lawna Elayn Tapper. Lawna has been a primary school teacher for 28 years and briefly served as an assistant head teacher before stepping down to reconnect directly with children, whose openness and eagerness to learn continue to inspire her. She recently founded ActivePerspectives, a company built on the slogan, “Finding new ways to look at the same old things!” Through it, she creates spaces for reflection and growth, including A Moment In Meditation, a feel-good forum for thinking, talking, and feeling.

Deeply passionate about people, Lawna champions the importance of a healthy relationship with self as a foundation for well-being and positive connections with others—something she now seeks to teach beyond the classroom.

The event will take place at BRIG Café at The Warehouse, located in the Birmingham city centre. The ambiance is perfect for connecting with others who, like you, are searching for deeper understanding and meaningful connections.

We look forward to seeing you there!
